Learning another language also implies learning about different topics that apply vocabulary and facilitate a better understanding of the topic in a conversation. This time, we chose the theme of circular economy, so important for humanity, which began to gain visibility in Europe in the 1970s, and is based on the intelligent reuse of resources throughout the production process. Here we insert a video and a short text with the reference links for more depth on the subject.
The circular economy is a model of production and consumption, which involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible. (European Parliament Research Service, 2023).
The circular economy is a system where materials never become waste and nature is regenerated. In a circular economy, products and materials are kept in circulation through processes like maintenance, reuse, refurbishment, remanufacture, recycling, and composting. The circular economy tackles climate change and other global challenges, like biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution, by decoupling economic activity from the consumption of finite resources.
